Nine News Australia produced a local program centred around the developments around Blacktown, including The Mayor of Blacktown and interviewing Charlie Georges of Dencon Developments and Atrium.
Blacktown is about to be hit by a building boom, many new multi-storey developments are set to transform the skyline over the next 20 years.
There is a master plan unfolding for the central CBD area which will turn Blacktown into a first class city.

Extremely well connected, Blacktown is a commuter’s delight. Blacktown Station is within a ten minute walk from The Atrium, while the M7, M4 and M2 roads are moments away. Commute to Parramatta or Sydney CBD by train or make the most of the NorthConnex rail link. Local amenities are almost all within walking distance, with Westpoint Shopping Mall, schools, doctors and eateries in the vicinity.
With the population of Blacktown City expected to reach over 521,000 by 2036, Council has laid the foundations to respond to this growth and provide high quality services.
Blacktown Council is allocating hundreds of millions of dollars for several projects including a university and multi-storey business centre in the CBD and International Centre for Sporting Excellence at Rooty Hill.
“We want to make Blacktown a modern, inspirational city that residents and businesses are proud of … a magnet for economic growth,” Blacktown Mayor Stephen Bali said.
Construction of Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport is underway and on track to begin operations in 2026.
The North West Growth Centre is divided into 16 Precincts, 12 of which are located within Blacktown City. The Precincts are released in stages by the State Government to allow the proper planning and coordination of infrastructure delivery for future urban development.
